The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless should be arriving later this month, ahead of which numerous promotional images have leaked. Highlighting a fundamentally new design, the high-resolution images also provide more details about the upcoming headphones' features and specifications.

Earlier this week, a Canadian retailer listed the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless in two colours, confirming details and pricing for headphones that Sennheiser teased in May. While the retailer has since de-listed both SKUs, @_snoopytech_ has now shared promotional images of the headphones that Canada Computers & Electronics did not publish. Fundamentally, Sennheiser has moved away from the retro look the Momentum 3 Wireless, which combined sheepskin leather earpads and stainless steel sliders.

In short, the Momentum 4 Wireless are more reminiscent of the Sony WH-1000XM5 than its predecessor. For example, Sennheiser has also adopted touch-sensitive controls with the Momentum 4 Wireless, eschewing the three-button layout that the Momentum 3 Wireless has. The Momentum 4 Wireless will retain its predecessor's white colour option with grey accents, though. Sadly, the Momentum 4 Wireless lack its predecessor's foldable design. Instead, the ear cups fold flat, another trait that the Momentum 4 Wireless has in common with the Sony WH-1000XM5.

Pictures of the headphones' packaging confirm that the Momentum 4 Wireless can automatically turn on and off when not in use, a feature shared with its predecessor. Accordingly, the Momentum 4 Wireless lacks a dedicated power button. Presumably, the headphones will retain its predecessor's power-off command, though. Additionally, the packaging states that the headphones will offer up to 60 hours of battery life, adaptive noise cancellation (ANC), an adjustable equaliser and the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codec. Bluetooth 5.2 will be supported too, as will the AAC and SBC codecs. A specific release date is unknown at this stage, but Sennheiser has already confirmed that the Momentum 4 Wireless will be available later this month.
