Suunto 9 Peak Pro to launch for €499 with up to 21 days of battery life and 10 ATM waterproofing
Reliable leaker @_snoopytech_ has shared details and images of the Suunto 9 Peak Pro, Suunto's next premium smartwatch. According to @_snoopytech_, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro will retail for less than the regular Suunto 9 Peak, which launched for €569 in the Eurozone. In saying that, the Suunto 9 Peak has now dropped to €469, a €100 saving. In comparison, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro is slated to arrive for €499. Hence, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro should slot into Suunto's product stack as a €30 more expensive option than the Suunto 9 Peak.
Based on the images leaked so far, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro sticks with the design of the non-Pro model. As such, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro has wide display bezels, a circular design and three physical buttons on its right-hand side. However, Suunto has added a new green metal case and a matching nylon strap. Also, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro should deliver 10 ATM waterproofing and more than 80 sports modes, mirroring its non-Pro sibling.
Elsewhere, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro has a 21-day battery life, up from 14 days with the Suunto 9 Peak. Reputedly, battery life estimates drop to 40 hours with the GPS module active, compared to the 25 hours that the Suunto 9 Peak offers. Additionally, Suunto has included two new metal contacts on the smartwatch's rear, potentially for fast charging purposes. Seemingly, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro will launch with the same health tracking sensors as the Suunto 9 Peak, though. A release date has not leaked yet, but the marketing images provided by @_snoopytech_ suggest that the Suunto 9 Peak Pro will also feature an exclusive watch face.
