A few days ago, @_snoopytech_ leaked renders and details about the Suunto 9 Peak Pro, over a year after the Suunto 9 Peak debuted. Subsequently, Redditor u/Accomplished_Sir_519 discovered a listing for the unreleased smartwatch on MediaMarkt's Spanish website. While the listing contains many of the details that @_snoopytech_ already revealed, MediaMarkt has confirmed a few other aspects.
Specifically, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro will launch with a 1.7-inch display. However, it seems that MediaMarkt has rounded up from 1.69-inches; the display corresponds to a 43 mm diameter. In other words, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro will be as large as the Suunto 9 Peak, which also has a colour display. MediaMarkt reports that the Suunto 9 Peak Pro weighs 64 g though, 2 g heavier than the non-Pro model. Still, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro retains its sibling's 10.6 mm height and 175 mm width, the latter referring to the 'S' watch strap that Suunto includes by default.
Additionally, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro will offer up to 300 hours of battery life in 'training mode with GPS'. In comparison, the Suunto 9 Peak peaks at 170 hours, a huge leap between models. Elsewhere, the MediaMarkt reiterates that the Suunto 9 Peak Pro will launch for €499 with up to 21 days of battery life with 'in time mode' activated. Unsurprisingly, the smartwatch will support Bluetooth, GPS, 80 sports modes and will be water resistant up to 10 ATM (100 metres). A release date remains unknown, but the presence of a retailer listing implies that Suunto is close to revealing the smartwatch.
