Samsung Galaxy Watch5 and 5 Pro pricing revealed for the Indian market
The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 series has arrived as some of the latest players in the health-focused smartwatch arena. Then again, they command prices that can push the US$500 mark for the potential of greatly improved specs and considerable re-designs, particularly in the top-end 5 Pro models.
Oddly, Samsung neglected to reveal whether these possible price-hikes would translate to the Indian market, despite advertising the new wearables there from their global launch. Now, however, these prices have reportedly emerged, courtesy of the well-known tipster Sudanshu Ambhore.
Ambhore claims that the 40mm Watch5 is set at INR 27,999 (~US$352) or INR 32,999 (~US$414) for SKUs that support either Bluetooth-only or 4G/LTE respectively.
The vanilla 5 will also land in 44mm SKUs with and without standalone mobile connectivity respectively for INR 30,999 (~US$389) to 35,999 (~US$456). Similarly, the Watch5 Pro will land in its 45mm form at INR 44,999 (~US$567) to 49,999 (~US$627).
The OEM has yet to specify whether all of the Watch5-series color options are coming to India; however, their Amazon and Samsung.com preview pages do display them all. However, the new accessories will not become available to pre-order until next Tuesday (August 16, 2022).
By contrast, they can be pre-ordered from Amazon in the US right now, although they will not ship until August 26, 2022.
