A comprehensive leak recently surfaced throwing more light than ever before on Sony's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1 VII. The company's mid-range model for the year, the Xperia 10 VII, is on the way as well, and a new report has now revealed some key details of the phone.
As reported by Sumaho Digest, the Xperia 10 VII is set to sport a 6.1-inch FHD+ display like its predecessors. While the source doesn't offer specifics, previous reports claimed the mid-range phone would finally get an upgrade to a 120 Hz OLED. That said, unlike the Xperia 1 VII which is reported to be switching to a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the Xperia 10 VII is slated to maintain the 21:9 ratio of its predecessors.
Under the hood of the Xperia 10 VII is said to be a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4. That may sound like a significant upgrade on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 on last year's model, but our tests show that the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is only around 10-15% more powerful on the CPU side.
Lastly, the Xperia 10 VII is tipped to feature a 50 MP main camera, 8 GB of RAM, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It will apparently also come equipped with a dedicated shutter button. Launch details remains unconfirmed but the Xperia 10 VII can be expected to debut alongside the Xperia 1 VII, with the latter being rumored to launch on May 15.
