Leaks over the past few weeks have all indicated Sony's plans to launch the Xperia 1 VII next week. Those leaks claimed the flagship phone was scheduled to debut on May 15 but have now been proven to be slightly inaccurate.
Taking to its official Xperia handle on X (formerly Twitter), Sony has now confirmed an event scheduled for May 13 to announce its new Xperia products:

13 May (TUE), 2025 11:00 Japan time / 04:00 CEST
Presumably, the Xperia 1 VII will be officially unveiled on that date. It's expected to be joined by either the Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones or the Xperia 10 VII mid-range smartphone. Or both devices, even.
Unfortunately, while this announcement confirms that the Sony Xperia 1 VII will be available across Europe—Sony's Spanish, UK, and German websites all have the launch announcement on their front pages—it appears the US will be left out yet again. Neither the Xperia US X page nor the Sony US website have any mention of the Xperia New Product Announcement. It's safe to say, at this point, that Sony will not be bringing the Xperia 1 VII to the US.
