A new Dealabs leak has just brought us the most detailed look yet at Sony’s upcoming WH-1000XM6 headphones. While much of the information overlaps with the previously leaked Amazon Spain listing, this update adds new country-wise pricing and what looks like the final pre-order and delivery timeline for at least the French market.
According to Dealabs, the WH-1000XM6 will launch in France at €449.99 - a €30 increase over the WH-1000XM5’s €419.99 debut. That matches earlier reports suggesting a 10% price hike across the board. Pricing in Spain and Portugal is reportedly set slightly higher at €469.99, while the US and Germany are aligned at $449.99 and €449.99 respectively. The UK, however, gets a price tag of £399.99.
The new listing also narrows down the release window. Earlier leaks pegged the launch between May 14 and 16, with May 15 as the likeliest date. The Dealabs thread hints that pre-orders in France are expected to go live on May 17, with deliveries scheduled from May 27. As discussed internally by sources like The Walkman Blog and forum users, this might indicate country-specific rollout windows.
Specs-wise, the WH-1000XM6 looks to be a significant update over its predecessor. Sony is bringing back foldable hinges, something users missed from the WH-1000XM4. This should make the new model easier to carry and store, and according to speculation from Reddit and product roadmap leaks, the hinges have been reinforced to reduce cracking - another known issue with the XM5 (curr. $348 on Amazon).
Internally, the headphones pack a new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3, 12 microphones, and a revamped Adaptive NC Optimizer that dynamically adjusts based on fit and surroundings. Audio upgrades include 30mm carbon fiber dome drivers, Hi-Res and LDAC support, and a customizable 10-band EQ.
Call quality also gets a boost through a six-microphone beamforming array with AI-based wind noise reduction. Sony's 360 Reality Audio, Speak-to-Chat, multipoint connectivity, DSEE Extreme, and Smart Ambient Modes are also back.
Battery life stays the same as before - up to 30 hours, with quick charge providing 1 hour of playback from 3 minutes of charging. Weight is listed at 254g, and three color options are expected at launch: Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue.
The WH-1000XM6 has already appeared on multiple Amazon platforms, but most listings have since been taken down, including Amazon Spain, which initially leaked the €470 price and May 15 release. With Amazon France now echoing similar details and adding shipping estimates, it's likely we’re days away from Sony’s formal announcement.
