Samsung's plans for 2025 have been found to include not 1 but several extended reality (XR) products. The South Korean giant's upcoming headsets are intended for use with Galaxy-series smartphones and wearables. At least one of them is also believed to have specs high-end enough to compete with Apple's own flagship Vision series.

According to a new presentation directed as its investors, Samsung's main priorities for 2025 include more Galaxy AI, selling more mobile devices - and XR. Accordingly, the OEM does indeed to get its next headsets on the market by next year.

They will also be part of Samsung's commitment to get its portfolio of wearables such as its Galaxy Watches to work better with other devices such as the current flagship Galaxy S24- and Tab S10-series smartphones and tablets: perhaps even the Galaxy Ring would be able to work as a Samsung headset controller.

On that note, Samsung is also thought to partner with Google to help develop the software for the upcoming hardware, as with the most recent Galaxy Watches, and to work with Qualcomm to get XR-series silicon for its headsets as Meta did.

However, Samsung's next XR devices might have variants with micro-OLED displays, which might make them more premium than the Quest 3S (still starting at $299 on Amazon). Therefore, the South Korean behemoth might be about to challenge the Vision Pro or its successors in the immediate future.
