CES 2023 | Samsung Bespoke AI Oven with AI Pro Cooking tool and built-in camera unveiled
Samsung has announced a new model of the Bespoke AI Oven with the AI Pro Cooking tool, which is expected to be showcased at CES 2023. The technology allows the smart home gadget to help you when cooking and improve your food. For example, the feature can optimize the cooking settings, recommending a mode, temperature and time for at least 80 ingredients and dishes; the EU model can currently recognize 106 foods. You can adjust the settings via a touch display or an accompanying smartphone app.
The latest model has a built-in camera to monitor your food, allowing the oven to notify you if it believes your meal is burning via Sense Inside. However, it is worth noting that this feature is currently limited to the European version of the product. You can also use the camera to watch your food, checking on its progress without needing to open the oven door. Plus, Samsung suggests you could live stream your cooking to social media.
The Bespoke AI Oven can be linked with other SmartThings appliances and the Samsung Health app. The app can use your health goals and exercise log to recommend meals or suggest recipes based on which ingredients you have in your fridge. The oven door uses a push-to-open mechanism instead of a handle for a sleeker design. Five models of the Samsung Bespoke AI Oven are already available in Europe, starting from £2,509 (~US$3,021). The smart appliances are due to arrive in North America in Q3 2023.
