Balmuda is a Japanese brand that became a favorite of YouTubers the world over thanks to its super-viral efforts to turn making a humble piece of toast into an art-form with its custom-made, steam-enabled oven.
Now, the company has turned its famous obsession with empowering people to make every piece of food perfect on a new cooking style.
The result might look like an unusually premium, high-tech electric hot-plate - however, the company asserts that it solves the most common problem of those appliances, resulting in evenly and effectively cooked steaks, shrimp or zucchini regardless of where they are placed on the grill.
The 6.6mm-thick triple-layer clad plate is rated to heat itself accurately to 320°F, 360°F, 400°F or 430°F (160°C, ~180°C, ~200°C or ~220°C) and stay there, whereas the average electric griddle might veer as much as 70°F (~20°C).
As the same plate is just 18.1 x 9.6 inches in size, The Teppanyaki is also backed to provide the focus of your next dinner party at home.
However, as with its Toaster, it also costs much more than the average electric grill. Balmuda's The Teppanyaki is now available on Amazon at its recommended price of $449.
