It is already well established that Xiaomi will be unveiling the Xiaomi 15 Ultra soon. As we have covered separately, Xiaomi has now confirmed that its Xiaomi 14 Ultra (curr. $1,029 on Amazon) successor will debut later this week in China before arriving in Barcelona earlier next month during MWC 2025.
The company has also revealed that a new Redmi Book laptop is set to join the Xiaomi 15 Ultra on Thursday. As official teasers make clear, the laptop in question is the Redmi Book Pro 16 2025, which will land just over a year after its predecessor debuted. It remains to be seen whether a follow-up to the smaller Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 will be in attendance though.
Nonetheless, the Redmi Book Pro 16 2025 will sport a huge trackpad and a centred keyboard with black keycaps like many other modern 16-inch laptops, including the MacBook Pro 16. Based on the images shared so far, the new Redmi Book Pro will be available in silver and blue finishes, the latter of which being a new option for the Redmi Book Pro lineup.
Xiaomi has offered a few hints about internal upgrades over last year's Meteor Lake-H powered models, too. Currently, the company has teased that the Redmi Book Pro 16 2025 will utilise an NPU capable of 96 TOPS, as well as LPDRR5X RAM running at 8,400 MT/s.
The mention of these details suggests that Xiaomi has chosen Intel's newer Arrow Lake-H architecture rather than Lunar Lake. As it stands, we suspect Xiaomi has opted for the Core Ultra 5 225H and Core Ultra 7 255H to directly succeed the Core Ultra 5 125H and Core Ultra 7 155H used in the current Redmi Book Pro 16 2024.
