Xiaomi has given a closer look at its new Leica flagship phone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Just like what the past reports have suggested, the latest smartphone will be available in three different colorways: a dual-tone colorway, black, and white. The latter two colorways were also available for the last-gen device, but the dual-tone option is exclusive to the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship.
In addition to showcasing the color options of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the company has confirmed an earlier Chinese launch. To fill you in, the global debut is set for March 2, but in China, the Leica camera flagship will be fully unveiled on February 27, which is just three days away from now.
Getting back to the official renders, they give a detailed look at the re-arranged rear camera configuration. While the predecessor had the camera modules symmetrically positioned, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have the periscope telephoto sensor placed on the top.
The other three sensors are placed below it. Speaking of which, while Xiaomi has yet to detail the rear cameras of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, past reports have suggested that the top periscope telephoto will be a 200 MP HP9. As for the other three, there will reportedly be a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide, a 50 MP IMX858 telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP LYT900 primary sensor with OIS.
A recent leak has also suggested that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a new photography kit, possibly with more buttons than past kits. This leak has further shared that the global variant could be bundled with the Watch S4 as a pre-order bonus (LTE Pixel Watch 2 curr. $244.99 on Amazon).
