The Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 16 has just been unveiled this past week, but impatient early adopters can already order this brand-new laptop. As is often the case, the notebook can’t be purchased directly from the manufacturer, but via import through a Chinese marketplace.
To be more exact, TradingShenzhen is now selling the configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H, 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD for $1,227 excluding shipping. Alternatively, the RedmiBook Pro 16 base model with the Intel Core Ultra 5 225H and the same amount of memory and storage is available for $1,086 plus shipping.
Prospective buyers should be aware that importing a Xiaomi laptop has some caveats, especially when it comes to warranty claims. Additionally, the RedmiBook Pro 16 can’t be ordered with alternative keyboard layouts at this time. In any case, the machine comes with Windows 11 Pro, whose language setting can be easily adjusted.
The laptop is further equipped with a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz and up to 500 nits of brightness. The panel apparently covers the entire DCI-P3 color space. The notebook also sports a 99Wh battery that can be charged with up to 140 watts. WiFi 7 and a Full-HD webcam are onboard as well.
In terms of connectivity, there’s HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C and USB 3.2 Gen 1. We reviewed last year's version of Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 16 and were quite impressed, so chances are that the updated 2025 model is also a pretty decent notebook, although skeptical shoppers might want to wait for in-depth reviews.
