RedMagic Dao 150W GaN Charger: New limited edition version arrives
A limited edition version of the Nubia RedMagic Dao 150W GaN Charger with Three Kingdoms 8 branding has been launched in China. The original version was released in countries like the US via a crowdfunding campaign in 2023.
This limited edition RedMagic Dao 150W GaN Charger features imagery linked to the popular game but is otherwise identical to the original model. The desktop charging station offers four ports, including one 30W USB-A and two 140W USB-C. The maximum 150W power output is via the DC port, which the company suggests could be used to charge a gaming laptop. Plus, there is support for a wide range of charging protocols like PD 3.1, PPS, and QC4+.
Real-time charging information is viewable on the integrated LCD screen that sits next to the ports. It shows input and outdoor power amongst other metrics, and can be personalized in the accompanying smartphone app. The accessory measures 101 x 71 x 35 mm (~4.0 x 2.8 x 1.4 inches) and also offers customizable RGB lighting.
The Nubia RedMagic x Three Kingdoms 8 Dao 150W GaN Charger is now available in China for 999 yuan (~$140). It is unclear whether or when this limited edition accessory could be launched in other markets like the US, where you can buy the original for $199 (or $189.99 via a third-party seller at Amazon).
