New Nubia Neo 3 models break cover with new Google Play Console listing

At this point, it's safe to say that the Nubia Neo lineup has carved out its niche within ZTE's broader smartphone catalog. Users who prefer mid-range devices with a solid battery life are a major demographic of this series, considering it's shelved between the company's budget-friendly offerings and the higher-end RedMagic gaming series.  

The latest development in this lineup is the spotting of the Nubia Neo 3 4G and 5G models on the Google Play Console Supported Devices List, which hints at an imminent launch for the new smartphone. This comes nearly a year after the release of the Nubia Neo 2 5G in February 2024. The listing reveals the model numbers 'Z2461' for the 4G version and 'Z2464N' for the 5G variant, with codenames 'P720F10' and 'P780F01' respectively.

While detailed specifications (and practically any other info) regarding the Nubia Neo 3 remain undisclosed, the Neo 2's hardware gives us a good baseline for what to expect. The Nubia Neo 2 featured a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Unisoc T820 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It housed a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, alongside a 16MP front-facing camera.

We can expect some incremental upgrades in processing power, camera tech, or battery efficiency from the Neo 3. The Neo 2 already offered a huge 6000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It's hard to see how Nubia tops that off. More details should be available soon as official info starts seeing the light of day.
