Powerful mini-PC refreshed with 24TB storage, 192GB RAM and Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495
Peladn has joined AceMagic, Beelink, FEVM, GMKtec and Minisforum in bringing AMD's Gorgon Halo platform to the mini-PC market. For now, only the EVO-X5 Pro and F9A Pro 495 are available to purchase internationally. By contrast, the GTR9 Pro 495 and FAEX2 remain exclusive to China for now.
Currently, the same is the case for the Peladn YO2 495, too. If the H05 we reviewed is anything to go by (curr. $899 on Amazon), then the Y02 495 will receive a global release at some stage. In the meantime, the updated mini-PC has reached China for CNY 49,999 (~$7,454) with AMD's new Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 chipset, 192GB of RAM and 2TB of storage.
In other words, the YO2 495 is more than twice the price of the YO2 395 that preceded it. Nonetheless, the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 and its Radeon 8065S iGPU offer only minor performance enhancements over the older Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Radeon 8060S. The YO2 495 retains its predecessor's design too, including an RGB lighting strip that adorns its front side.
Moreover, the YO2 495 supports up to 24TB of storage via three M.2 2280 slots. Incidentally, the additional RAM supported by AMD's Gorgon Halo platform allows the YO2 495 to commit up to 160GB as VRAM. The new mini-PC provides its Gorgon Halo chipset with up to a 160W TDP too, surpassing its predecessor by 40 W.
