Acemagic F9A Pro 495: Compact AI workstation with Ryzen AI Max+ and up to 192 GB RAM

Acemagic is expanding its portfolio with the F9A Pro 495, a compact mini workstation featuring an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495. We have already tested other mini PCs from the manufacturer. The roughly two-liter mini workstation combines a powerful 16-core processor with integrated Radeon graphics and a particularly large unified memory pool. This should make the mini PC especially suitable for local AI applications and memory-intensive workloads.

The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 offers 16 cores and 32 threads and reaches boost clock speeds of up to 5.2 GHz. The integrated Radeon 8065S graphics handle graphics processing. The possible memory configuration is particularly interesting: the Acemagic F9A Pro 495 AI Mini Workstation supports up to 192 GB of LPDDR5X-8533. The CPU, GPU, and NPU all access the same memory pool, allowing even large AI models to be processed locally.

AMD specifies up to 55 TOPS for the NPU, while the platform's total AI performance reaches up to 131 TOPS. Acemagic cites running DeepSeek V4 Flash 284B locally as an example of a memory-intensive AI workload. However, how quickly such a model actually runs depends on the quantization, the software used, and the specific system configuration.

Despite its compact dimensions of 158.5 × 158.5 × 81.5 mm, the selection of ports is extensive. Two USB4 ports, dual 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 are included, as are HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1. An OCuLink interface based on PCIe 4.0 x4 is also available for connecting external expansions, for example. A PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2-2280 slot is provided for storage. NVMe SSDs of up to 4 TB are supported.

With the F9A Pro 495 AI Mini Workstation, Acemagic is primarily targeting developers, content creators, and professional users who want to run AI models or other memory-intensive applications locally. The large shared memory pool is the system's key feature. Its compact design may also appeal to users looking to fit a high-capacity workstation into as little desk space as possible.

The Acemagic F9A Pro 495 AI Mini Workstation is available for preorder now through the manufacturer's website. The price is a considerable $6,499. For now, the system remains an exception, as mini PCs with the new Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 have so far mostly just been announced. The Acemagic M1A Pro+ (already tested) is one model that also uses a powerful AMD platform, though it comes with somewhat less memory.
