Powerful laptop launches with Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 64 GB RAM, 8 TB storage and 2.5K 165 Hz display

Thunderobot has launched the AI Master M7000 mobile workstation, several months after its initial announcement in May. We previously covered Thunderobot's Aibook 14 Air Carbon, another AI-focused laptop from the company, which uses an AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 365 processor and an 85 Wh battery.
Compared with mobile workstations such as the HP ZBook 8 G2a 14 (currently available on Amazon), which we have reviewed, the M7000 takes a different approach with a larger display and hardware focused on running AI models locally.
The AI Master M7000 uses the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a 16-core, 32-thread processor with boost clocks of up to 5.1 GHz. It also features Radeon 8060S integrated graphics with up to 48 GB of graphics memory and an XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS.
We have compared the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Ryzen AI Max 390 across several benchmarks, with the Ryzen AI Max 390 used as the 100% baseline and the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 reaching a relative score of 131%.
The standard retail model comes with 64 GB of memory, while Thunderobot says the M7000 can support up to 128 GB. It comes with 768 GB of main storage and a separate 85 GB AI SSD for AI workloads, and Thunderobot says this setup can run the GPT-OSS-120B AI model locally. Other versions are listed with 1 TB to 8 TB of storage.

Phison's aiDAPTIV+ technology uses flash storage to increase the memory capacity available to AI workloads. Its middleware manages data between system memory and flash storage, allowing larger AI models to be handled without relying entirely on physical memory.
Thunderobot also promotes the M7000 for creation, development, scientific research and other professional workloads. The included Herdsman local inference engine and FlowAI PC software are designed to make local AI workloads easier to run.
It has a 16-inch 16:10 display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. Thunderobot's product material lists 500 nits of brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. Thunderobot also advertises a performance power limit of up to 160 W.
The workstation has a 99 Wh battery and weighs 2.45 kg (5.4 lb). It is 24.9 mm (0.98 inches) thick. For connectivity, it has an OCuLink port, USB4, USB-C and USB-A ports, HDMI, 2.5GbE Ethernet and a microSD UHS-II card reader. The OCuLink port can also be used to connect an external GPU.
