Oppo recently launched the Find X8 series in the global market. The series currently consists of two models including the standard Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. Oppo typically releases an Ultra model in its flagship series, as seen with the last-gen Find X7 Ultra. Similarly, the Find X8 Ultra could launch in the coming months. Though there is no official information regarding the high-end smartphone, a new leak has surfaced online revealing some details.
The leak comes from Digital Chat Station, a reputable tipster. According to the leak, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra is codenamed “Everest.” Additionally, the tipster says they’ve already gotten their hands on the prototype, which reportedly features a 2K display. Moreover, it is said to feature dual periscope lens.
The tipster also claims that the Ultra model will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm. Lastly, it is tipped to feature a large battery capacity.
Previously, Oppo's UK social media account stated that the Find X8 Ultra model is not scheduled for a global release. Although this post was quickly deleted, it suggests that the Ultra model is unlikely to receive a wider global release. The expected release timeline for the device in China is after the Lunar New Year in 2025.
