It seems that Samsung could be exceedingly close to officially confirm prior leaks concerning its next Android skin. To recap, Samsung discussed One UI 7 at SDC24 last month. However, the company did not the visual tweaks that it has in store for its next major update.
Nonetheless, screenshots of One UI 7 have been doing the rounds for the last few months in various capacities. Now, Samsung Spain itself has been caught publishing details about One UI 7. Please note that the subsidiary now redirects its One UI page to its homepage. Hence, we suspect that it went a little early in revealing One UI 7 promotional materials.
At any rate, Samsung Spain described One UI 7 as featuring changes like 'more sophisticated and intuitive icons', as well as a new lock screen and a revised notification control centre. Moreover, Samsung will continue to lean heavily on its Galaxy AI software suite, whether that be Zoom AI when taking photos or Live Translate while on the phone.
On top of that, Samsung plans to bring Energy Score across from One UI 6 Watch, which it debuted earlier this year on the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra (curr. $461 on Amazon). Unfortunately, Samsung will be dropping some features too, such as Dex for PC. Instead, Samsung will direct people to use Link to Windows as an alternative. Currently, Samsung is expected to officially release One UI 7 beta builds next month, with stable builds to follow in early 2025.
