Find X8 Ultra: Oppo officially comments on the chances of a global release
Oppo has just released the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro globally, having presented the pair last month in China. For context, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro line up as Dimensity 9400-powered alternatives to the slew of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagships that already exist, such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $949.99 on Amazon).
The same is now true of the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro, but not the smaller X200 Pro mini. Unfortunately, it seems that Oppo does not intend to offer the entire Find X8 series globally either. Officially, the Find X8 Ultra does not exist yet. However, Oppo recently mentioned the device on its UK X (formerly Twitter) account.
As the screenshot below shows, the company's British social media team appears to have received confirmation that the Find X8 Ultra 'is not scheduled for a global release'. Incidentally, the account has since deleted this post, which suggests it may have jumped the gun somewhat.
Either way, the lack of a Find X8 Ultra outside China would give Samsung and the Galaxy S25 Ultra a pass globally. Based on recent rumours, the Honor Magic7 Pro could soon be available outside China though, albeit not until after the Galaxy S25 series becomes official.
