The Mic Mini can now be ticked off the long list of unreleased DJI devices that have leaked online in recent months. As expected, the Mic Mini has arrived as a much smaller alternative to the Mic 2 (curr. $99 on Amazon), which is less than a year old itself. Specifically, DJI quotes the following footprints for the Mic Mini and its accessories:
- Transmitter: 26.55 × 26.06 × 15.96 mm & 10 g
- Receiver: 46.50 × 29.61 × 19.32 mm & 17.8 g
- Charging case: 96.10 × 41.00 × 59.35 mm & 139 g
Thus, the Mic Mini is about half the size of the Mic 2. Nonetheless, the Mic Mini carries over many features from its larger counterpart, including support for directly connecting to an Osmo Action 4, Osmo Action 5 Pro or Osmo Pocket 3 via the DJI OsmoAudio app. Moreover, the Mic Mini offers two levels of noise cancelling and automatic limiting to prevent audio clipping.

Unfortunately, the Mic Mini cannot internally record audio, unlike the Mic or Mic 2. Furthermore, DJI's latest microphone release does not support its Lavalier Mic Camera Adapter. On top of that, the Mic Mini's receiver features a dial and buttons in lieu of a touchscreen display.
The Mic Mini starts at $59 in Arctic White and Infinity Black. However, that only includes the transmitter itself. Currently, DJI charges $89 for a transmitter and a receiver or a further $19 for a USB Type-C to Lightning adapter. Finally, all these accessories can be purchased with a second transmitter and a charging case for $169. Please see DJI's website for more information.
