The official release of DJI's next microphone hardware is almost upon us. For context, the company hinted last week that it would be introducing a smaller alternative to the Mic 2 (curr. $99 on Amazon) on November 26 during what it described as a 'Carry Less, Capture More' event.
In the meantime, leaker Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News) has now revealed all remaining hardware specifications, which we have reproduced below. Additionally, these images also describe what to expect from the Mic Mini's associated charging case and receiver. For reference, DJI has assigned these DMMC01 and DMMR01 model numbers, respectively. As expected, the Mic Mini supports Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.400-2.4835 GHz operating frequencies.
Moreover, the battery life of both the transmitter and receiver should exceed ten hours despite containing relatively small batteries. Meanwhile, the optional charging case should be capable of recharging the pair over three times before it needs topping up itself. Incidentally, the Mic Mini is expected to arrive for just €59 (~$62). However, its price will rise to €169 with a charging case, a receiver and two transmitters.
