At the OnePlus 15's launch event, the company briefly acknowledged the OnePlus 15R. For reference, the previous generation OnePlus 13 series also included the 13R, which was positioned as a more affordable alternative to the flagship.
Typically, OnePlus rebrands its Ace series smartphones under different names for the global market. For example, the OnePlus 13R was a rebranded version of the Ace 5. Hence, an Ace 6 series phone could be rebranded as the OnePlus 15R. In China, the company has already launched the standard Ace 6 with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 165Hz display, and a 7,800mAh battery.
However, one more Ace series phone is expected to launch in December. According to recent leaks, it will be called the OnePlus Ace 6T (previously rumored as the Ace 6 Pro Max) and may feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, an 8,000mAh battery, and a purple colorway inspired by the OnePlus 6T. Hence, the OnePlus 15R may end up being a rebranded version of the Ace 6 or the Ace 6T.
For now, the company has not revealed any other details regarding the 15R, only stating that "more information is coming soon." If OnePlus follows the previous generation's pricing strategy, the 15R could be priced around $599, similar to the OnePlus 13R's launch price.
