OnePlus is gearing up to bring its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone outside the Chinese market. To fill you in, the OnePlus 15 was released in China on October 28, 2025. As the brand is getting ready for the international release, it has shared that the global smartphone will have the same battery as the Chinese counterpart.
To be specific, the global OnePlus 15 will launch with a 7,300mAh battery. Until now, the Nubia Z80 Ultra was the only international Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone with a battery larger than 7,000mAh. Typically, Chinese smartphone manufacturers need to nerf the battery capacity of their phones to comply with various global battery-related regulations. However, it seems that the brands have finally decided to stick with the obvious solution to overcome the issue while complying fully.
Speaking of which, Nubia's new global phone did see a downgrade in terms of charging speed when compared to the Chinese model. The good part is that the same isn't applicable for the global OnePlus 15. As the brand confirms, the international phone will retain the wired 120W fast charging support and 50W wireless charging (300W Anker Prime 26K power bank curr. $169.99 on Amazon).
Regarding the other specs, they will also remain the same, including the 165Hz OLED display, 3,200Hz touch sampling, a large vapor chamber, and multiple ingress protection ratings. Of course, the international OnePlus 15 will launch with OxygenOS 16 instead of ColorOS 16, but it will be based on Android 16.
