With few exceptions, OnePlus' response to the official release of Android 13 thus far is to implement various Open Beta (OB) programs for its newer and/or ex-flagship mobile devices. It allows the company to upgrade the smartphones in question to the latest software - albeit to a potentially limited pool of users who supply it with feedback as it completes the development of the OxygenOS 13 (OOS 13) versions in question.
It has had a slightly sporadic distribution thus far; for example, it has covered the 10 Pro, 9 series and 8 series thus far, with the 10R as the most recent addition. Accordingly, the pattern has sparked a wave of queries from official OnePlus Community members as to when their relatively new device will upgrade to OxygenOS 13.
Now, the OEM has decided to clear a number of those up with the release of its new OOS 13 Beta Rollout Timeline. It includes a column with entries such as "From Q4 2022", which could be defined as a nice loophole for OnePlus, as that gives it a window translating roughly to "from now until the end of December 2022" for the next additions to the OB program.
Nevertheless, it does now categorically specify that the 10T and Nord 2T will complete the Q4 2022 phase, as will the Nord CE 2 Lite, but not the CE 2. That device is now slated to wait until the first half of 2023 for its OOS 13 Open Beta 1, as will the Nord 2 and first-gen CE.
The Nord N20 SE, however, is now revealed as in line for its first stable upgrade to OOS 13 within the first six months of 2023.
