One-Netbook teases OneGx 2 gaming handheld with removable keyboard and OCuLink port
One-Netbook has just made the OneXFly F1 Pro official, which is the first gaming handheld that's powered by the AMD Strix Point APUs. There isn't much more to it than the Zen 5 APUs and RDNA 3.5 iGPUs, but it seems the company will soon be introducing a hybrid device.
Called OneGx 2, One-Netbook's upcoming gaming handheld is more like a competitor to the GPD Win Max or Win Mini. Unlike the first-gen product from the company, it comes with a removable keyboard, and removing it reveals dual analog sticks, a d-pad, ABXY buttons, and a split-style keyboard.
The company didn't show how the removable keyboard connects to the gaming handheld. It's also unclear whether the built-in split keyboard has physical keys or capacitive buttons. However, the teaser video shows that both the keyboards have RGB backlit.
Moreover, the company didn't reveal any internal specs of the OneGx 2, but the first generation product was powered by Intel Comet Lake processors. Given that One-Netbook has already released an AMD Strix Point gaming handheld, it's possible that the upcoming device could feature Lunar Lake APUs.
Of course, the teaser video revealed that the OneGx 2 has a CNC aluminum chassis, and the port selection includes an OCuLink, USB4, and USB Type-A. The former two ports mean that the gaming handheld will have support for eGPUs, which would make it more capable of gaming.
Other details are still under wraps, but since One-Netbook has already teased the product, more information about the gaming handheld could emerge soon (Legion Go curr. $499 on Amazon).
