The retro gaming handheld market is now dominated by a few players. For instance, Anbernic has been releasing a new device monthly since the start of the year, culminating in the RG406H (curr. $249.99 on Amazon) just over a week ago. Powkiddy is never far behind either, nor is SZDiier.
Relatively unknown player Unico has now released the Pocket though, which it has attempted to distinguish from other recent gaming handhelds in a key area. For reference, Unico equips the Pocket with what it describes as a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor. Presumably this a Rockchip chipset of some sort, potentially the Rockchip RK3328.

Additionally, the Unico Pocket has a 4-inch IPS display that outputs at 960 x 720 pixels in a 4:3 aspect ratio, much like the RG406H. Moreover, the Pocket measures 156 x 77.6 x 17 mm and contains the usual assortment of controls like a d-pad and a pair of joysticks. However, it also includes ABCD buttons in a nod to the system for which it is designed.
As the image below shows, the Unico Pocket comes with 40 games from SNK's extensive Neo Geo library, including multiple iterations of The King of Fighters, Metal Slug and Fatal Fury titles. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether these are officially licensed games, though. Currently, the Unico Pocket can be ordered in grey and black colour options for $79 with a $89 MSRP.
