Sony's rumoured PlayStation Portal refresh has now been spotted in a leaked image. Adopting a more stealthy finish than the original PlayStation Portal, the refresh appears to only be a cosmetic one at present.

Earlier today, we reported that Sony plans to refresh the PlayStation Portal (curr. $199 on Amazon) with a new colour option. While not official just yet, the source that shared the information is known for their reliability. Incidentally, a separate leak appears to verify these claims.

Specifically, an image showing the PlayStation Portal in black has been posted online. Embedded below, the image does not appear to have been altered or photoshopped. However, the X (formerly Twitter) account that posted the image, @Zuby_Tech, has not provided a source at the time of publication.

In other words, we would treat the image with some scepticism for the time being until others start appearing. Ultimately though, few visual differences exist between this black colour option and its white predecessor. Based on the information shared by @billbil-kun, this PlayStation Portal refresh will be a purely cosmetic one rather than one that adds new features. Incidentally, the opposite was true last month when Sony updated the Xperia 1 VI with a new colour option.
