HP has updated the OmniBook 14 Ultra as part of its extensive CES 2026 showcase. Last year, HP offered the same 14-inch laptop with a choice of AMD Strix Point APUs like the Ryzen AI 9 365 and the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 (curr. $1,449 on Amazon). This time around, the company has pivoted to Intel and Qualcomm alternatives with support for up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
For the time being, HP only mentions Intel's "Next Gen AI Processors". However, we suspect these will be Panther Lake options like the Core Ultra 5 338H or the Core Ultra X7 356H. Alternatively, the OmniBook Ultra 14 will be configurable with Snapdragon X2 Plus (X2P-64-100), X2 Elite (X2E-84-100) and X2 Elite (X2E-90-100) processors.
Regardless of the processor chosen, HP also includes a 70 Wh battery backed by 65 W charging and a 2.8K OLED display with a 120 Hz variable refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio, plus 500 nits SDR and 1,000 nits HDR peak brightnesses. Moreover, all OmniBook Ultra 14 variants feature three USB Type-C ports, a 3.5 mm jack, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and a haptic trackpad with support for brightness and volume control gestures.
Additionally, the OmniBook Ultra 14 will be configurable with up to 2 TB of PCIe NVMe storage that HP complements with 9,522 MT/s RAM on Qualcomm-powered models and 8,533 MT/s RAM for Intel alternatives that jumps to 9,600 MT/s for 64 GB SKUs. While Intel and Qualcomm variants share the same hardware within their 1.27 kg housings, HP distinguishes the pair with Eclipse Grey and Silk Sand colour options for the former and a Stone Blue finish for the latter. Unfortunately, HP has not confirmed pricing or availability yet.
