Olight has officially unveiled its new ArkPro EDC flashlight series at a keynote event in New York. The successor to the Arkfeld series maintains the same form factor and rotary dial for selecting light sources. LEDs within the dial indicate the flashlight's status. There is now also a status that lights up when the flashlight is locked.
The new design features a spotlight on the right side that can reach up to 224 yards. According to Olight, the throw is twice as long compared to the Arkfeld Pro. There’s also a floodlight, which is suitable for close-range situations as it no longer has a hotspot in the center. Both modes have five brightness levels and can hit up to 1,500 lumens.
An upgraded and cleaner UV light is available as well. Last but not least, the new EDC flashlight also sports a green laser pointer, which is activated by a side switch and has two power levels. The side switch also makes it easier to use the laser in conjunction with the other aforementioned light sources. The Arkfeld Pro also had this feature, but Olight stated there were some usability issues. Furthermore, many users did not even know the Arkfeld Pro had this capability, according to Olight.
That being said, there is a major change when it comes to charging. The ArkPro is now charged via USB Type-C, which is located on the side and is covered by a flap that appears to be made of a solid material, similar to the Oclip lights. However, the MCC magnetic charging port is also included and is located on the opposite side. A fitting MCC cable is included in the box as well. This concept has been unveiled at Olight’s IWA presentation, which also revolved around the pretty large Javelot Turbo 2.
According to Olight, the flashlight weighs around 4 oz and is 0.63 inches thin. As usual, the battery cannot be replaced, but it now offers 2,000mAh (and presumably 7.4 Wh). This is a 33% capacity upgrade compared to the Arkfeld Pro Lite. With 30 minutes of medium floodlight use per day, the flashlight is said to last for 26 days on a full charge.
The flashlight will be available in several colors, including a Phantom Squadron Edition. The aluminum body has a unique, tactile texture. Olight is asking around $100 for the green, orange and black color variants, while the SKUs with the textured body cost $10 more.
Additionally, Olight is launching a more powerful ArkPro Ultra for $130, which supposedly utilizes a new LED that was developed in-house. There will also be a Lite version for around $80, which lacks the spotlight and the laser but has a red light instead. The exact differences can be seen on the corresponding comparison page.
The new Olight ArkPro EDC flashlight is expected to hit the US market on September 15, 2025. The Ultra version will follow later this year.
