Acebeam has now officially announced the UC25 multi-light flashlight. At IWA 2025 in Nuremberg, we initially got a glimpse of the UC25 as a prototype. The final model offers four light sources.
There are three light sources on the front. Firstly, a UV light to reveal contaminants in hotels or security features on banknotes. Secondly, a regular flashlight (technically with two 6,500K LEDs). Thirdly, a Class 1 green laser. In short, the UC25 is Acebeam's answer to Olight's Arkpro series.
The fourth light, attached to the side, is an ambient light designed to illuminate larger areas. Featuring a CRI value of 95, this light is said to be to reproduce colors reasonably well, which is not a given on classic flashlights. The UC25 can also be attached to a shirt pocket via a belt clip to allow the side light source to shine forward. Opposite the head, where there is also a control element, there is a surprisingly small magnetic surface.
The flashlight also has an inbuilt rechargeable battery and is charged via USB-C. As is typical for Acebeam, the battery life is very complex, which is why we refer to the chart at the end of the article (provided by Acebeam). The chart also shows the ranges, candelas and lumens. It is particularly noteworthy that in the particularly low mode, both the ambient light and the flashlight can be used for around 70 hours. The UV unit can also be operated in both high and low modes.
The UC25 is about 14 cm long, weighs 140 grams, is IP65-rated and can withstand a fall of 1.5 meters. It is currently available directly via the manufacturer's online store for just under $83. Shipping is free.
