Lumitwin’s durable dual-barrel LEP flashlight promises 2km range and comes with modular filters
The Lumitwin DL700 is a high-spec, dual-barrel flashlight recently introduced on Kickstarter. The design is based on two independent Blue Lake NT2 LEP modules. Each barrel can be operated separately to get different lighting modes and focused beam control. The maximum stated beam distance is 2,000 meters, with a peak output of 1,100 lumens in dual-head, dual-battery mode. Four user-selectable glass filters - red, green, flood, and standard - are supplied for adaptable output.
The casing is CNC-machined 66061 aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. Drop resistance is rated to 10 meters and the design passes IP68 for waterproofing. Weight with batteries is just over 1kg. Two 21700-form 6,000mAh Li-ion batteries are included, with up to 16 hours of single-head operation. The flashlight uses USB Type-C for charging. Each barrel has separate switches and brightness settings. The included hard case is foam-fitted to the flashlight, filters, batteries, braided rope, and carabiner for secure portability.
