Acebeam has just launched the W10 Pro, the successor to the W10 models. Interestingly, it is internally designated as v2 and should not be confused with the older W10 and W10 Gen II models.
As usual, the new model utilizes LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) technology. These are sometimes also called laser flashlights, but this does not mean lasers in the classic sense. Nevertheless, the technology is characterized by a very strong focus and thus a long range. The candela values are very high, while the lumen values are very low. In the case of the W10 Pro, the maximum is 750 lumens and 507,656 cd, as can be seen from the data sheet. Hence, the WP10 Pro flashlight is unsuitable for illuminating objects at close range.
Acebeam's flashlight is approximately 15 cm long and weighs 211 grams. The internal battery can be charged directly in the flashlight via USB-C. The battery itself is a 21700 round battery and is replaceable. It also largely determines the shape of the flashlight, which has a diameter of approximately 2.5 cm.
The model's runtime is 4 minutes in 750-lumen mode, followed by an additional 350 lumens for 3.5 hours. IP68 protection and a drop resistance of 1.5 meters are among the features that make the WP10 Pro robust.
Acebeam charges a steep price of $229 for the W10 Pro in its online store.
