Official: New Honor Magic V6 to surpass Pixel 10 Pro Fold as first IP69 certified foldable

Earlier today, Honor shared the first teasers showing the Magic V6 from multiple angles. Arriving alongside equivalents for the Oppo Find N6, the Magic V6 teasers emphasise that it is an evolution of the Magic V5's rather than a revolution (curr. $1,580 on Amazon).
Now, the company has followed this up with a global showcase of the same device. Embedded below, the short video confirms that the striking red and colour finish shown in China will be available globally. Not only that, but Honor has indicated that the Magic V6 will be sturdier than its predecessor.
Privately, Honor states that the Magic V6 utilises a steel hinge rated for 2,800 megapascals (MPa). Moreover, the company has confirmed that the Magic V6 will be the first IP69-certified foldable. Currently, only the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold offers IP68 certification among foldable smartphones. Also, Honor has suggested that the Magic V6 will have reduced crease visibility and an improved anti-reflective coating. Honor will unveil the Magic V6 fully next month during MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
