OPPO re-branded some premium examples of its Reno-series smartphones as the Find X3 Lite and Neo on their release to Europe earlier in 2021. Despite this, their immediate successor has arrived on the same shores under its original name. The 6 5G also retains the new Dimensity 900 processor, which might be good news for fans of alternatives to Qualcomm silicon in the mid-range space.
The OPPO Reno6 has also been unleashed on the European market with a flat-edged design and the same specs from its original Chinese launch. They include a 6.43-inch "cinema-sharp" 90Hz AMOLED display and triple 64+8+2MP rear cameras.
The OEM has imbued these shooters with 6-series tweaks such as Bokeh Flare Portrait, Ultra Steady Video and AI Highlight Video. The Reno6 is sustained with a 4,300mAh battery (rated to charge from 0 to 100% in as little as 28 minutes thanks to OPPO's Super VOOC 2.0 technology) and will come with the up-to-date ColorOS 11.3 Android skin out of the box.
The OPPO Reno6 is available in its new market from today (September 9, 2021) in just one Stellar Black colorway. It can be ordered with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, for a recommended price set at €499 (~US$590).
