OPPO Watch 3 reservations are now open in China ahead of its launch
OPPO has reiterated that it has something to add to the slew of launches for potentially cutting-edge devices set to start from about 24 hours from now (August 9, 2022), via its new Watch 3 reservations page. The new post confirms a design change compared to its high-end predecessor.
The Watch 3 is definitely still square; however, it is now abundantly clear that its frame has acquired a subtle curve so as to accommodate its enlarged display. This new case will be sold in silver or black, with no sign of something like the Glacier Lake edition thus far. One might wonder what happened to its rumored third SKU in that case.
OPPO now offers bookings for the opportunity to buy the new wearable, now also officially confirmed to launch in partnership with the basketballer Yi Jianlian, from 19:00 Bejing time (13:00 CET) on August 10.
The page, of course, leaves the viewer in suspense as to its price at present, and considering the Watch 3's debut of the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC, fans might need to brace for a bit of a sticker shock. Then again, its new look might help shift units nonetheless.
