OPPO has arguably scored a win with its first-gen foldable Android device, the Find N. Nevertheless, the latest rumors point to even better specs in its allegedly upcoming successor. They include the latest brightness- and efficiency-boosting display technology from Samsung in both the cover and main displays of the phablet, along with a new main camera and faster charging.

OPPO hit various positive notes with the launch of its inaugural Find N, not the least of which is the pivot away from super-narrow form-factors when closed in its fast-emerging space. Now, the latest word is that its "N2" successor will improve on it in various important ways.

The latest rumors purport to reveal that both the cover and main displays of the supposedly Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered Find N2 will increase in size compared to their first-gen counterparts - albeit slightly, to 5.54 and 7.1 inches (or ~0.04 and 0.1 inches more) respectively.

Then again, OPPO fans might not notice much should that be the case, as the N2 is now said to upgrade to Samsung's latest E6 enhancements for OLED in both displays. This means that the cover screen might have the same up to 120Hz refresh rate as the main folding panel, and that it might have the same max brightness and battery-saving modes too.

At 4,520mAh in capacity, the Find N2's battery may not be that much of an improvement; however, it is now said to step up to much faster 67W wired charging (with no mention of wireless or reverse wireless charging thus far).

The Find N2 is thought to launch with the same triple rear cameras as the OnePlus 11; now, the primary shooter is at least said to be the same new Sony IMX890 sensor that may also feature in the conventional Find X6 Pro flagship. It may have OIS in the N2 - not to mention the customr MariSilicon X co-processor and Hasselblad tuning its forebear missed out on.

Being a foldable smartphone, the Find N2 may be relatively thick with a height of 14.6mm. Then again, it is once again backed to be relatively light, at 233 to 237 grams.

All in all, the Find N2 is now painted as the foldable to beat in 2023, especially considering the precedent set by its first generation. However, as the alleged source of its new and more detailed spec list, Digital Chat Station, has just rescinded the Weibo post to this effect, it may not arrive in such a configuration after all.
