Oppo Find X6 Pro: Alleged specifications and Hasselblad camera design surface
Leaker Digital Chat Station has revealed details about the Find X6 Pro, the assumed successor to the unique-looking Find X5 Pro. Based on the leaker's drawing, Oppo has decided to go down the route of a large circular camera housing like the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Seemingly, there are a few missing elements though, such as an LED flash array.
Still, the drawing shows two large lenses with a third beneath it, likely for a periscope telephoto camera. Undoubtedly, Oppo will return to the MariSilicon ISP as well, which it develops in-house. Likewise, we suspect that Oppo will continue to include Hasselblad camera tunings in its flagship smartphones, as OnePlus does with the OnePlus 10 Pro. As far we can tell, the Find X6 Pro has a curved back too, presumably dovetailed by a curved display on the device's other side.
Additionally, Digital Chat Station asserts that the Find X6 Pro will utilise the Sony IMX989 and the Sony IMX890. For reference, Xiaomi has already used the former in the 12S Ultra and is expected to include the same sensor in its successor, along with the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Meanwhile, the IMX890 is an unannounced sensor. Reputedly, the sensor will not be as large as the IMX766 found in the Find X5 Pro, which offers a 1/1.56-inch optical format. In other words, expect the IMX890 to be a sidekick to the IMX989, possibly as an ultra-wide-angle camera.
