Xiaomi 13 series: New leak reveals more details of Xiaomi's next-gen flagship lineup
Xiaomi is set to bring its next set of flagship phones, the Xiaomi 13 series, to the market later in the year. Some details of the phones have surfaced in the past, and a new leak now reveals even more about Xiaomi's plans for the lineup.
According to reports coming out of China, Xiaomi will debut the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro first as it did with the Xiaomi 12 series, with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra to follow later on. Presumably, this time out, it will be a Xiaomi 13 Ultra and not a Xiaomi 13S Ultra. CEO Lei Jun already promised a global launch for the company's next Ultra phone—like the Mi 11 Ultra did.
In addition, the Xiaomi 13 will sport a display in the region of 6.36". That would make it bigger than the 6.28" Xiaomi 12. It's said to retain a FHD+ display, however. The Xiaomi 13 Pro will likely be the same size as the Xiaomi 12 Pro and will sport a QHD+ screen.
The Xiaomi 13 series will, of course, be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The chipset is scheduled to launch in mid-November, and the Xiaomi 13 could be an early adopter. Lastly, the Xiaomi 13 series will be equipped with a camera system developed in collaboration with Leica, as begun with the Xiaomi 12S series.
