A deluge of Galaxy S23 leaks is sweeping the mobile landscape as of late. From design changes and possible color options to minute details like display bezels, new details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 keep on emerging. This time we have information regarding the battery capacity and screen size of the upcoming Galaxy S flagship thanks to the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station.
Per the leaker, the Galaxy S23 will pack a 3,900 mAh battery with a usable capacity of 3,785 mAh, 200 mAh more than the Galaxy S22 that has a 3,700 mAh battery pack. In our review of the Galaxy S22, we noticed that the device had decidedly average endurance. Coupled with a more efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, an increase of 200 mAh, if it does happen, will likely make the Galaxy S23 quite a bit longer lasting than its predecessor.
That said, the leaker thinks that the upcoming compact Samsung flagship will come with worse fast charging than a “domestic small screen flagship”. So, it is possible that the phone will feature the same 25 W fast charging as the Galaxy S22 which is a bit disappointing when you see some manufacturers offering more than double the speeds.
Digital Chat Station also asserts that the Galaxy S23 will have a 6.1-inch FHD+ display which is in line with previous reports. The purported FHD+ display, although reportedly lower than 1.5K displays that are set to appear next year, will undoubtedly help with endurance.
As always, these are rumored hardware specifications of an unreleased product, so take it with a grain of salt.
