Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: First renders show camera design inspiration from Galaxy S22 Ultra
Samsung may be months away from releasing the Galaxy S23 series, but leaker @OnLeaks has already obtained CAD files for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus. Typically, leaks this early should be treated with extreme caution, but @OnLeaks' reputation precedes him at this point. For example, @OnLeaks recently leaked details about the OnePlus 11 Pro, which we covered separately.
Surprisingly, Samsung has moved away from the wrap-around camera housing that it introduced with the Galaxy S21 series and carried over to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus. As @OnLeaks' renders show, the Galaxy S23 Plus has individual camera lenses, matching the Galaxy S22 Ultra, as well as a dedicated aperture for an LED flash module.
Reputedly, the Galaxy S23 Plus measures 157.7 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm; its weight is unknown at this stage, although the Galaxy S22 Plus tips the scales at 195 g, or 196 g in the US with mmWave connectivity. For context, the Galaxy S22 Plus measures 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.6 mm. In other words, the Galaxy S23 Plus is a touch taller and wider than its predecessor, underlining an assertion made by @UniverseIce earlier this month. Hence, it seems likely that next year's Galaxy Plus model will also have a 6.6-inch display when it lands sometime in early 2023.
