Digital Chat Station has shed light on Oppo's first foldable with a flip phone form factor. According to the leaker, the so-called Oppo Find Flip will feature a high-megapixel primary camera, as well as a larger battery than its contemporaries. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Oppo intends to release a foldable outside China. Currently, the Find N remains a Chinese exclusive even after its good reception with Western reviewers that have gotten their hands on the device.
Supposedly, Oppo's first attempt at a flip phone features a 6.8-inch internal display, putting it squarely among the Galaxy Z Flip4, Moto Razr 2022 and P50 Pocket. However, Digital Chat Station also expects Oppo to install a 3.26-inch cover display, 20% larger than the 2.7-inch one in the Moto Razr 2022. Additionally, a 3.26-inch cover display would be over 200% bigger than the P50 Pocket's and 72% larger than the Galaxy Z Flip4's. Unsurprisingly, both displays in Oppo's foldable are thought to be OLED panels.
Moreover, Digital Chat Station alleges that the Oppo Find Flip has a 4,300 mAh battery, which is between a 300 mAh and 800 mAh higher capacity than its competitors offer. Elsewhere, Digital Chat Station states that the handset will rely on a 32 MP front-facing camera, likely the Sony IMX709, plus the Sony IMX766 as its primary camera, a 50 MP sensor used in numerous mid-range smartphones and the Find N. Furthermore, the Find Flip is rumoured to contain the IMX355 as its ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8 MP camera popularised by Google Pixel smartphones.
