Xiaomi has outlined more Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro specifications ahead of the pair’s announcement this Thursday. Meanwhile, Xiaomi 13 Pro colours have leaked online, courtesy of an official-looking render and a hands-on image with three models.

We do not have to wait long for Xiaomi to deliver the Xiaomi 13 or the Xiaomi 13 Pro, with the company confirming the pair’s outing for December 1. In the meantime, Xiaomi has sought to tease various details about the Xiaomi 13 series, some of which we covered yesterday. The company has now outlined other details though, shown below in various screenshots.

As Xiaomi previously hinted, the Xiaomi 13 series will utilise Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Xiaomi claims that the chipset alone will yield roughly 40% CPU and GPU improvements, presumably when compared with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Xiaomi 12 series. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be joined by UFS 4.0 flash storage and LPDRR5X RAM too, with the latter capable of operating at 8,533 Mbps, 33% faster than the LPDDR5 equivalent powering the Xiaomi 12 series. By contrast, Xiaomi claims that the adoption of UFS 4.0 will yield 100% faster storage speeds.

Overall, the Xiaomi 13 series should be capable of keeping up with gaming smartphones and allegedly even outperforming the iPhone 14 Pro series. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are slated to last up to two days between charges too, in part thanks to a new generation of silicon-oxygen batteries and improved packaging technology. Separately, it seems that Xiaomi will offer the Xiaomi 13 Pro in at least three colours, including a ceramic green option. As far as we can tell, the company’s new ‘nano skin’ technology will only launch in a blue finish.
