The Phone (3) had been predicted to launch with a new version of Android called Nothing OS 3.5 in an earlier leak; however, a new tip purports to roll that software version back to 3.3 instead.
It allegedly consists of documents lifted from the database of SGS-CSTC Standard Technical Services, which has allegedly been engaged to test Nothing's latest smartphone battery for safety in China.
If so, the Phone (3) (which goes by the model number A024 in this new leak) will indeed debut with a typical capacity of 5,150mAh, compared to 4,700mAh in the Phone (2).
The (3) might also be able to charge faster than its predecessor at up to 65W. That rumor is based on the fact that the smartphone has apparently been tested alongside Nothing's latest power brick.
The accessory (or "C286") sports dual USB-C ports both rated for the Phone (3)'s alleged new top rate, in addition to an extra USB type-A port.
In other words, it might be a new version of the 100W CMF by Nothing GaN charger. It is currently $39.90 on Amazon, although it is possible that the 65W variant comes free with the purchase of each Phone (3), along with a matching USB-C to -C cable.
Then again, and despite its newly corroborated upgrades, Nothing's supposed Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 flagship (or flagship killer, rather) still seems dwarfed in these terms by its ostensible 6,500mAh/90W rival the Poco F7.
The Nothing Phone (3)'s new leak also suggests that the device will debut in black or white on its global July 1, 2025 launch.
