Nintendo Switch 2: Mysterious countdown to January 8th might suggest the reveal date with one Redditor claiming to already have a device in hand

The Nintendo Switch 2 is probably one of the most hyped releases in recent memory. The original Switch (available on Amazon) is fast approaching 8 years old, and the ageing console is well overdue a refresh.
So far, everything from the dimensions, to the dock, accessories and games have been revealed in one form or another.
However, CentroLeaks has shared a post from the same Weibo user that correctly predicted almost everything about Nintendo Direct back in November, as well as initially suggesting the January reveal window and March launch date. The post takes the form of a mysterious countdown to January 8th, suggesting this might be the date Nintendo chooses to officially launch the next Switch.
Not to be outdone, Reddit user NextHandheld claims to already have a device in hand, promising to reveal proof on Christmas day. Naturally, the thread has received a fair amount of scepticism, with the user claiming retention of anonymity as the reason for not releasing proof sooner.
Nevertheless, almost every conceivable detail has already hit the news in one form or another, and regardless of the speculation around dates, the world probably doesn't have too much longer to wait for an official announcement from Nintendo.
