The ThinkPad T14 series is among the most well known and liked business laptop series. It is not a premium series, but it delivers a well-rounded combination of quality and features. With the lastest Intel Lunar Lake CPU, it is more efficient than ever, setting a new battery life record for the T14 series.
"Exciting" is not an attribute most people would bestow upon the venerable ThinkPad T series, especially not the standard model of the line, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14. This business laptop with a 14-inch screen is something of a business standard, competent, robust and solid, without being flashy. It delivers features many IT professionals want without breaking the bank. However, this also means that some features of more expensive lines, like the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, are not to be seen on the mid-range ThinkPad T14 series.
When Lenovo announced the Intel Lunar Lake version of the ThinkPad T14 G6, we were surprised - Lunar Lake tended to be a bit more expensive, and the T14 usually comes with upgradeable RAM. Still, we looked forward to testing the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 with Intel Lunar Lake, as that CPU platform has shown itself to be the most efficient Intel platform in years.
And indeed, Lunar Lake delivered in our deep-dive review of the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 Intel. Since we have tested the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 series quite extensively since its inception in the year 2020, we have the luxury to compare the battery life numbers of all of these different generation of ThinkPad T series.
The data is clear: The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 Intel with Lunar Lake delivers the best battery life among all the T14 models we tested, by far. With 19 hrs, this is the first ThinkPad T14 G6 (available on Amazon) that makes all-day battery life (at least as far as a workday goes) a reality.

I was an ardent reader of Notebookcheck’s laptop reviews even back in school. After writing reviews as a hobby, I then joined Notebookcheck in 2016 and have worked on device reviews and news articles ever since then. My personal interest lies more with laptops than smartphones, with business laptops being the most interesting category for me. Technology should make our lives and work easier and good laptops are an essential tool for that to happen. This is why laptop reviews are not just my work but are also my passion.
