New Epic Games Store free game arrives for Windows and Mac

Epic Games is continuing with its weekly game giveaway, where it typically offers one or two popular titles at 100% discounts. For context, the storefront discounted The Falconeer from $19.99 to $0.00 between July 4 and earlier today.  Now it has pivoted to Floppy Knights, just as a reliable leaker claimed last week.

Incidentally, while Floppy Knights generally sells for $19.99 on the Epic Games Store, it has been recently available on Steam for just $4.99. Consequently, this week's giveaway deal is not necessarily as generous as it may first appear. Also, it is worth noting that you must have an Epic Games Store account to redeem Floppy Knights for free.

Also, Floppy Knights has comparatively low system requirements despite being initially released in mid-2022. On the one hand, the game should run on any Mac that has at least an Intel Core i5 processor of no specified generation, 4 GB of RAM and can run macOS Sierra. On the other hand, Windows users only need 4 GB of RAM, a Windows 7 64-bit licence and a modest Intel HD 4400 iGPU. Please see Epic Games' Floppy Knights store listing for more details.
