Deal | Samsung Odyssey G8 curved screen gaming monitor drops by $350
Samsung introduced the Odyssey G85SB QD-OLED monitor at the end of 2022. Launched at $1,499.99, the curved screen gaming monitor saw an official price cut later, retailing at $1,199.99 without any discount in place. But with this deal, you can get it for $849.99 on Amazon. That's a generous $350 price cut from what it generally sells for.
The company says that the QD-OLED panel can deliver "near-infinite color contrast" for the integrated Neo Quantum processor. With DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, it is also said to offer "supreme color and depth expression." These, combined with 99% DCI color coverage, make the Odyssey G8 good for content viewing and production as well.
As for the gaming aspects, this 34-inch monitor has a 175 Hz refresh rate. With 0.3 ms GtG response time, Samsung says that the Odyssey G8 will make it easier to "outmaneuver opponents." The monitor also has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to offer a stutter-free viewing experience.
Another highlighted gaming feature is the dedicated game bar, which lets you change the display settings on an in-game overlay. Port-wise, the Samsung Odyssey G8 sports two USB-C ports with one support for USB-C charging at 65W, one Mini-DisplayPort, and one micro-HDMI 2.1.
Other highlights of this curved screen gaming monitor include a 1800R display curvature, RGB lights on the back, a slim metal design, and Tizen OS. You can learn more about the Samsung Odyssey G8 from the video attached below.
