Deal | Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 32-inch 240 Hz 4K gaming monitor gets massive 43% discount in Amazon sale

Samsung's Odyssey gaming monitor line-up features some of the best gaming monitors money can buy, often delivering on top-tier features and specifications along with their flagship pricing. The Odyssey Neo G8 sits at the higher end of Samsung's Odyssey gaming monitor range, but an Amazon deal has discounted the 34-inch gaming monitor by a staggering 43%, bringing it down to just $735.83 — its best price yet. 

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 is a 32-inch gaming monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3,840 × 2,160, and although it isn't the newest monitor around, the Neo G8 is still very competitive when it comes to gaming features. For starters, the VA panel has a 240 Hz refresh rate and a claimed grey-to-grey response time of 1 ms, perfect for fast-paced shooters. Support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro also helps eliminate tearing in games, even when HDR is enabled. The Neo G8 is also G-Sync compatible, making it a good option for Nvidia GPU owners, as well. 

As far as brightness goes, the Odyssey Neo G8 claims a typical brightness of 350 cd/m², although the 1,196 Mini LED local dimming zones can boost peak brightness to 1,000 cd/m². In RTings's review of the Neo G8, it managed to produce a sustained SDR brightness of 602 cd/m² in a 50% window, while a 25% window scored over 1,000 cd/m².

Colour reproduction is impressive, too, with RTings citing 89.8% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. Picture quality and gaming features aside, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 has a 1000R curved matte display and a height-, tilt-, and swivel-adjustable stand for ergonomic benefit. Samsung Core Sync-powered ambient lighting is also a nice touch for gamers who are after both immersion and aesthetics in their gaming setups. 

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is discounted to $799.99 from Samsung US directly, but Amazon has further discounted the 32-inch gaming monitor to $735.83 after a 43% discount.
